Thank you for giving during our employee giving campaign – Vikings/Bears ticket winner announced
(12/6/19) The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation (AHEF) would like to thank everyone that participated in
the employee giving campaign this year. Together we make our schools and communities stronger with support.
The AHEF would especially like to thank the employee giving campaign champions in each of our buildings and departments who serve as the frontline contacts for their peers.
“These volunteers take the time to share information about the AHEF, the United Way and the Minnesota Environmental Fund,” said Tess DeGeest, executive director of the AHEF. “They invite their peers to join them in giving to our nonprofits to make our schools and communities stronger. These champions are essential to the success of our campaign and I can’t thank them enough.”
The results of this year’s campaign will not be available for a few weeks, but based on the data gathered so far, participation and giving have grown again. “We tried something new this year in addressing the immediate need for calming tools (breathing balls, kinetic sand, stress balls, etc.) in our buildings. This need seems to have really resonated with our staff who see the needs of our students everyday,” said DeGeest.
“We are deeply grateful for the support we get from employee donors,” DeGeest said. “Our donors are the ones that make grants possible. They are the heart of the Foundation and we appreciate every one of them."
The winner of the two tickets to the Minnesota Vikings game against the Chicago Bears on Dec. 29 is Krista Darr, geography teacher at Anoka Middle School for the Arts. Thank you to ATS&R for donating the tickets!
