Fundraising Campaigns

Fundraising events overview

The Foundation hosts three fundraising events and conducts several campaigns throughout the year. Please see each below for more details on how you can get involved and donate to the educational cause most important to you.

Northern Stars Celebration

The Educational Foundation’s annual Northern Stars Celebration is typically a smashing success - raising thousands of dollars for our kids. The gala-style event provides a fun way to celebrate quality education, with silent and live auctions, live entertainment and tasty food. In 2018, more than $64,000 was given to benefit Anoka-Hennepin students and support the ongoing work of the Foundation.

Registration is now open for our 2019 Northern Stars Celebration on February 9, 2019  at the Bunker Hills Even Center in Coon Rapids.

This form stopped accepting submissions on February 7, 2019 10:30 pm CST.

Gallagher 5K Fun Run & Walk for Literacy

Held annually in April and in the memory of Bill Gallagher, a district principal who was known as a passionate champion for literacy, this fun family event is all about raising money to support literacy projects in Anoka-Hennepin schools. The 5K brings more than 700 runner and walkers out to celebrate spring and raise funds for our schools. In 2018, thanks to our sponsors and participants, more than $11,000 was raised.

"Putt-ing Kids First" golf tournament

The Anoka-Hennepin Educational Foundation's "Putt-ing Kids First" annual golf tournament grows bigger and more successful every year thanks to our sponsors, golfers and volunteers.

The tournament, which is a long-standing tradition — the 2018 event was the 59th annual — funds grants for early childhood education, talent development, and career and college readiness incentives for students, among other things.

The 2018 event, held at Green Haven Country Club in Anoka, generated over $20,000 for our students and schools.

Save the date now for 2019's golf tournament on Saturday, September 9 at Green Haven in Anoka.
